Oxford Health Plans offers small business plans in downstate NY and NJ. The quotes listed here are for downstate NY. If you are interested in quotes for NJ, please contact us. Oxford requires 60% employee participation after valid waivers for all of their EPO and PPO small business health plans. Oxford does allow for carve out plans, as long as Oxford is the exclusive carrier for the group. Oxford considers Spousal coverage, medicare and medicaid as the only valid waivers for participation requirements. Oxford does offer two Liberty HMO plans without any employee participation requirements. EPO and PPO plans have national coverage through the Unitedhealthcare Choice Plus network. Oxford allows for up to 75% of your employees to enroll out of the NY service area, this is great for small businesses with employees scattered around the country or for employees who travel a lot. The Freedom network is the best network of providers currently offered to small businesses in NY. The Oxford Liberty network is a slightly reduced network of providers compared to Freedom here in NY. The Liberty network plans can still be used for out of area employees and it uses the same Unitedhealthcare Choice Plus network. The only exception would be the Liberty HMO plans, these plans are only for downstate NY, NJ and CT.
Starting for new business and renewal plans for 1/1/14, Oxford Health plans will be combining all 3 regions into 1 rating region. This region will consist of the following counties: Manhattan, Queens, Kings, Bronx, Richmond, Nassau, Suffolk, westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Putnam.
